More hidden gems from Mallorca island

As the season approaches, we explore more of Mallorca's hidden gems. As we started to search, a lot of places shocked us with beauty. We are convinced that after seeing them you will be mesmerized by these nature scenes.

Shall we start our comparison again? Let's go!

Soller Cathedral. Totally can be replaced by the beauty of the Iglesia Nova in Son Servera. Despite the popularity, the entrance to the cathedral is nothing more than a staircase. While the Iglesia Nova boasts the inner garden with walkable paths and beautiful fountains. The architecture is neo-gothic with the addition of the artwork of Joan Rubio Bellver, collaborator of Antonio Gaudi. So in terms of scenes the church is an unforgettable experience. And there is definitely less trouble with the parking spots around :)

Port d'Andratx. Many come to Port d'Andratx and walk around the port with its beautiful yachts and restaurants. But there is a much better selection of spots in Cala Ratjada. All sorts of bars, cafes and kitchens is available there right above the cozy port. Walkable promenade ends at Cala Gat which is a beautiful miniature cala diving in pine trees. While visiting Cala Ratjada you also get the chance of seeing the Far de Capdepera, amazing lighthouse on the high rocks surrounded by the picturesque sea views.

Speaking of Capdepera...

Castell Bellver. In Palma all travellers go to Castell de Bellver expecting something... usually much more than what they get. The point is that Castell looks much prettier from Palma than when you see it from within. Of course, the museum part may be interesting, but what the people want to see from the castle situated on the top of the city are the views. Which are utterly disappointing... That is why we believe it can totally be replaced by the Castell de Capdepera. The latter has amazing 360 views not only on Capdepera town but on the seashores around the Capdepera municipality.

Fornalutx village, famous for its beauty.

Valdemossa. Such a huge marketing spot getting its attention due to the ease of connection between Palma and Valdemossa. But if taken for its views and 'what to dos' there is nothing special in the place. Try Fornalutx. This village is not the biggest one, but definitely the one which Ryanair decided to use for its poster on the plane (message me and I will tell you the exact street and the coordinates it has been taken from). Every turn of your head will burst in your soul with the feeling of amazing beauty. Situated in the mountains which surround the village making a goof half of all its sceneries, the village also has amazingly picturesque citrus yard and a center with such great walkable route that you will never forget.

All for today. And we will start collecting more hidden gems for you in our next post!

Stay tuned and see you in Mallorca this year!
